What to Have Ready
Please gather the following items before the appointment:
- Diapers
- Wipes
- Three XL swaddle blankets
- A few soft blankets
- A cleared and clean sturdy table
- A comfortable, well-lit space for the procedure
These items help ensure the visit goes smoothly and comfortably for your baby.
It has been well-documented that giving a baby a small amount of sugar to suck on during the procedure can help reduce discomfort. Simply mix one teaspoon of sugar with one teaspoon of water in a tiny bowl.
