The Bris

In the Jewish faith, the biblical requirements for a Bris are as follows: circumcision must be performed on the eighth day of a child’s life at any time before sundown, although the Bris is typically held in the morning. It’s important to remember the day of a child’s birth counts as the first day and that the Jewish day starts at sundown. If you’re using the Lunar calendar as opposed to the Gregorian calendar, it can get a little confusing, but as it’s the first holiday of your son’s life, you want to ensure you get it right. I’ve helped guide many families through this process to ensure everything is done in accordance with biblical tradition in my time performing newborn circumcisions in Illinois, so don’t feel embarrassed asking for assistance when planning a Bris.

Why Choose Have Your Son’s Circumcision at Home?

When you choose to have your newborn circumcisions in Illinois, having the procedure performed from the comfort of your home is not the only benefit. Obviously, a hospital procedure will not be as knowledgeable or understanding of biblical requirements, making the procedure nowhere near as meaningful and not spiritual in the slightest. My circumcision procedure is also minimally invasive, more comfortable for the baby, requires no Vitamin K shot, and takes just a minute!
